CAT Scan Showed Mild Fat In Liver And Fatty Infiltration Along The Falciform Ligament. Advice?

I had a CAT scan and found mild fat in my liver, and fatty infiltration along the falciform ligament . Also have small fat containing umbilical hernia . I have had lower abdomenal pain for three months, and am wondering what you think is causing it. They also found wall thickening along the distended ascending colon , possible colitis . What can I do if it is the colitis?

Hi and welcome to HCM.
All 3 reasons can cause it. Fatty liver, hernia and colitis. Most probably colitis. You should find the cause of colitis. IS it diverticulosis or infective one(if you have fever and diarrhea). Or there are sign of crohn and ulceratice colitis. You should repeat Ct scan in few months and see is there improvement.
Fatty live ris treated by changing lifestyle habbits, avoid alcohols, fats and fast food. Exercise a lot.
Umbilical hernia will cause pain in abdominal wall, more like burning sensation. It can be surgicaly managed. Wish you good health.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Check your BMI and lipids - you may have to reduce.
Colitis needs further evaluation - Colonoscopy (Lower GI Endoscopy) and biopsy is a must for proper assessment and assistance.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
