COPD Patient, Cannot Cough Up Phlegm, Resting Pulse Between 95 And 97. Reason?
As a COPD patient I use a gadget on my finger to check my breathing and pulse rate. Usually resting my pulse is 74 breathing 91. However feeling unwell all day I have been constantly resting in bed so cannot understand why my pulse has been reading between 95 and 97 all day. Should I be concerned or am I O,K. to leave things until tomorow. Am 80 coughing but even though have plemg on my chest and wheezing , I can not get any up.
Hi welcome toWHCMForum. COPD chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. as the lung tissues fail to expel sputum the available area for blood and oxygen become lesr
as a result breath less ness results. For circulation back ward pressure results in heart enlarge ment. As the heart is not fully compensated heart rate is also varies
when ever there is tissue variations. So dont worry about variations of pulse and heart rate. the pulse monitoring is not for you it is for doctors. if you start obser-
-ving these things you get tension and the readings go on changing. and doctors become help less to give treatment. To solve this problem practice diversion proced-
-ures as yoga meditation reading and hearing music. Wishing a fast recovery. thank you.
