CT Scan Done. What All Should Be Asked To The Doctor?
Hi: I have an extra-axial mass along the left parietal convexity with apparent underlying osseous destruction, may represent malignant meningioma or other neoplastic process as determined by a CT scan with limited contrast due to a mild kidney problem. I have a pacemaker so I can`t have an MRI. I have an appt. with a neuo surgeon next week. What are some of the questions I should ask or what are the possible options. I`m 80 years old.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your move, you have asked nice question, if it is final diagnosis and nothing is left, then you can ask for the prognosis, and what will be the line of treatment, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, or surgery? or if the final diagnosis yet be made then you can ask for the next test for confirmation, you can ask if it turned malignant then how you are going to manage it, what will be the side effect of chemotherapy or radiotherapy if given. I hope every thing will be alright, have good day.
