CT Scan Of Para-nasal Sinuses. Mild Chronic Sinusitis, Evidence Of Nasal Septum Deviation. Meaning?
i did CT scan study of the para-nasal sinuses revealed evidence of mild mucocsal thickening at the base of both maxillary sinuses, consistent with mild chronic sinusitis evidence of nasal septum deviation , with hypertrophy of the nasal cochae no fluid levels or soft tissue lesious normal O M U the rest of the para nasal sinuses appeare normal normal post-nasal space

Hello welcome to health care magic Regarding your CT of paranasal sinuses,,it reveals evidence of deviated nasal septum(DNS),,and chronic sinusistis.. If the DNS is mild don't worry about that,,if it is more and cosmetic disfigurement consult ENT specialist and have correction,,normally it is done by surgery either septoplasty or septorhinoplasty For chronic sinusitis(sinusistis of more than 6 weeks duration) you need to take antibiotics for a longer duration..apart from that you should take corticosteriod nasal spray to reduce the inflammation in the sinuses...
If the chronic sinusitis is not controlled with the above said medications,,then you have to undergo FESS functional endoscopic sinus surgery..
