CT Scan Result Shows Small Calcification In The Region Of Tentorium. Explain
my mother's CT Scan results is Findings: The ventricles are normal in size, symmetric and midline. There is no evidence of acute intracerebral or extraaxial hemorrhage. Normal gray-white matter differentiation is preserved. No mass effect or shift is identified. The skull base and calvarium are grossly intact and unremarkable. There is a nonspecific small calicification measuring mm in the region of the tentorium. can you explain please......
From what you have decribed, the CT scan seems to be very normal, you dont have to worry about the small mm sized calcification. It may be a normal change in elderly due to neurodegenerative changes/mild amyloid deposition,it can occur in neurocysticercosis or toxoplasma infection as well(but not the case here).Just ignore it.It wont have a long term consequence aswell.
