Can Canadian OTC Sleeping Pills Be Deadly?

Hello, My mother had a recent stroke and was told to use over OTC sleeping pills for her insomnia. Sometimes she forgets if shes taken her pills so im careful not to leave anything dangerous laying around. Can Canadian OTC sleeping pills be deadly? What amount is safe? patient weight about 200lbs

Yes, they can be. Studies suggests that the use of sleeping pills greatly increases the risk of serious heart problems and may be death. Sleeping pills in overdose can cause an exacerbated cardio respiratory depression.
