Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

As far as my patients are concerned I give them paracetamol and I do not prefer other antipyretics. If the fever does not come down with paracetamol then I suggest them to give a tepid sponging.

Other antipyretics like ibuprofen have many side effects compared to paracetemol.

The basic cause of fever should be identified and treated. So consult your doctor for the same.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
