hii sear alzeimer is irreversible progressive dementia and goal of treatment is to stop progression no any drugs can help in reverse it Nuedexta is dextromethorphan new research is coming in multiple sclerosis and pseudo bulbar effect but it is not useful in Alzheimer u can try donepezil, mementine , rivastigmine etc sometime psychiatrical complain associated with dementia like pathological crying and irritability than consult psychiatrist and evaluate everything medicines like tiaparide , low dose of risperodone are helpful in this case but proper consultation is needed because in old age dose modifications is must so consult doctors take care thank you
