Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi there.

Firstly I would advise you to get a proper evaluation of your shoulder done to reach to a final diagnosis and start a specific treatment.

You could get an Xray and MRI of the shoulder joint done for a start and get it evaluated by an orthopaedic surgeon.

Secondly do not taper the steroid dose so quickly since you have been having it for a long time.
Start on an anti inflammatory like nac plus if you are experiencing so much pain.
Good luck.
