Can I Take Penicillin Vk To Treat Bacterial Vaginosis?
Hello I was wondering if I could take penicillin vk to treat my bacterial vaginosis? I read that penicillin vk may attack the wrong bacteria and cause a yeast infection..another problem I do not want. I have some penicillin vk left that is still good and I'd rather take it today than wait three days to see a doctor for clindamycin or metronidazole, etc. Is it worth it to wait? Also you should know I just finished antibiotics for a UTI which I believe was caused by the BV. And am still experiencing a bit of pain near my kidneys. What should I do?

If you are getting the result, and getting cured ,you need not worry about the rest of the things.
If penicillin vk, or any antibiotic is used for longer periods, and higher doses you may get the yeast infection etc.
If any antibiotic used in correct dose and for correct period it wlll not cause any harm. As you said if you take all the pills in one day you can have a yeast infection.
The pain in the flanx could be due to the muscle pain, or chronic infection of the ureter, or small stones in the ureter.
So always follow the instructions of your doctor you will be safe.
