Can I Take Tylenol For Pain Caused By Degenerative Disc Disease And Osteoarthritis?

An xray of my neck shoed severe degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis and xray of shoulder showed mild osteoarthritis. Now and then I will feel local pain, not shooting but just uncomfortable pain, in the left side of my neck. I also feel that my left salivary gland area is somewhat painful and a bit swollen compared to the right one. When I take thylenol 500 mg, the pain subsides. My DR okd for me to take the thylenol 3x a day, if needed.

Hi,
Your problem might be due to cervical spondilitis and degenerative changes on shoulder joint.
Go for physiotherapy, short way diathermy.
Do not put pillow under your neck while sleeping.
Take calcium, vitamin A and D supplements.
Ok and take care.
