sir i was suffering from acne for the past 1 year...i did evrything to get rid of acne but nothing worked even i consult many dermatologist as well but they all seems to be good for nothing....then i started using mometasone and within 1 week my acne had gone and my face is cleared and i am now using it from 1 month...and in between this left using mometasone for 3 days then again many pustular acne rised...now i am using this cream and its fine again....i want to ask that what shud i do to get rid of this pimples...can i use mometasone evryday to get rid of this acne.
Hello, Thank you for posting on HCM. Mometasone is a steroid and is ideally not indicated for acne. I would insist you to stop using the cream as it would damage your skin on longer run. Acne is pretty common in teenage and mostly settles by mid twenties. Proper management of acne is mandatory to prevent complications like scarring and pigmentation. I would advise a long course of oral isotretinoin and antibiotics like Azithromycin. Also, apply a cream containing nadifloxacin twice a day and a cream containing benzoyl peroxide and adapalene at night. Apply good quality moisturiser like emolene and use water-based sunscreen before going out in sun. Moreover, for better results, you can consider going for series of chemical peels.
