Psoriasis is an autoimmune chronic relapsing scaly disease of unknown ethology. However, there may be some triggering factors like...trauma, stress, dry weather, drugs like chloroquine...etc
Your doctor has given proper treatment. Oral medicine like acitretin 25 mg daily or methotrexate 15 mg per week may be taken after consulting your dermatologist. Application of Sorvate -c may be continued.
Remember psoriasis is a controllable skin disease. The tendency to relapse might remain permenantly. So, take regular treatment for long time. After control, you may discontinue. After relapse, restart the treatment.
I hope this would help you.
Thanks.
