Can I Use The Counter Drugs For Talwin And Pentozozine As The Medicines Have Reduced The Nerve Pain And They Are No Longer Available?
Hi. I live in Virgina Beach and have a 28y/o spinal disease and have gone through 15years of therapy. I don t do well on hard narcotics and I m allergic to Ibuprofen. I was put on Talwin NX, pentozozine. It took the nerve pain away about 90% for the last 14months. How can I find a medicare doctor to fill it, nobody knows it. The doctor that gave it to me has moved. I ve been to 2 pain management specialists and they refuse and just wants to start therapy over and try new meds. A pharmacist told me this drug may be the next over the counter drug. It is being used in the wounded soldiers program to get parents off the hard narcotics. It works great.
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. Both the drugs that you have mentioned are narcotics and is exclusively a prescription only drug. You will not get any over the counter substitute for this. It is best to consult a pain specialist for the same. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
