Can I Use Tramadol Hcl Instead Of Oxycodone For Back Pain?

hi my mother has been taken oxycodone for back pain for the last 4 weeks...one to two tablets for pain as needed... she has consume 60 tablets in the last 4 weeks.. the back pain is better but she still has some discomfort,,My question is we have in the house tramadol hcl .50 mg from an older condition also for pain,, CAN WE SUBSTITUTE
