Can IV For Withdrawal From Meth Cause Blister On Arms?
HI, MY FRIEND HAS BEEN IN RECOVERY FROM IV DRUG US OF METH. THEY RELAPSED AND NOW HAS RISEN HARD RED IRRITATED SKIN ON HER ARM. IT LOOKS LIKE A SPIDER BITE BUT RESEMBLES A BLISTER AND THE WOUND IS CIRCULAR SHAPED. SHE'S EMARASSED AND SHE IS SCARED AND WONDERS IF THERE'S A HOME REMEDY.
It is not a withdrawal symptom. Intravenous injections of any sort can cause a variety of serious problems. Infection with other possible signs of redness, warmth, pain, purulence/blisters/boils would be one of the worst certainly requireing antibiotics and generally requiring minor opening of the area to let the pus get out.
