Can Mirena IUD Inserted To Reduce Heavy Periods Lead To Ovarian Cyst?
My sister has a Mirena IUD advised by her doctors in italy because she had unusually heavy periods and was anemic. Now about seven months after her Mirena IUD is in she has developed an ovarian cyst. She had a small cyst when she was pregnant with her second child,she is 40 now and that was 8 years ago,but otherwise she has not had any cyst history. Could the Mirena be responsible?thanky ou
