Can Triamcinolone 1% Cream Causes Uterine Bleeding?
I am a 60 year old woman who has gone through early menopause and am now using triamcinolone .1% cream for psoraisis. I recently stopped enbrel shots and used the cream 2 times a day heavily on my legs and arms. I started to have a small period one week after the enbrel shots ended and that is when i started using the cream. Can this cream cause uterine bleeding?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Triamcinolone does not cause uterine bleeding. Bleeding per vagina has to be evaluated in detail especially in your age group. It could be an early symptom of serious diseases. Consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated. You might require an ultrasound scan and further investigations depending on it.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The Triamcinolone cream is not responsible for the uterine bleeding, but it is the effect of Enbrel shots, which is producing suppression of Tumor Necrosis Factor and producing immune mediated effects causing hormonal imbalance to some extent.
Hope this clarifies your doubt.
Thanks.
