Can Vicodin Cause More Pain Instead Of Relieving It?
I was prescribed vicodin to relieve pain from jaw bone bruising caused by teeth grinding while sleeping. Hand and feet have swollen and pain is intensified. Can Vicodin cause more pain instead of relieving it? Also alternating between OTC Tylenol and 800mg ibuprofen. Pain seems more intense when laying down.
You see not to get enough relieve from your pain medications. It is not possible for vicodin to cause more pain than relieving it. If the hands and feet swelling all began after this medication was prescribed, then you may be developing some allergies related to it and may need to get a substitute for this. I will suggest that you do not take any more Tylenol because there is tylenol in vicodin and you may be receiving more than the required dose. Talk too your doctor to make sure you are not developing any allergies to this.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to request fir clarification and more information if need be. Thanks for using our services. Dr. Ditah, MD.
