Hi, I had diverticulitis in May of this year. I went to a doctor and performed and ultrasound, they saw a small mass in the small intestin, and sent me to the ER. In the ER the doctor told me not to pay attention to the mass an performed a CT scan. the result was positive for diverticulitis, but did not mention the small mass. My question is can the ct detect masses in tthe small intestine or the ultrasound is the best way to see the problem should I be worry?
hi, generally Ct scan can detect mass in the small in intestine. however if you have contradictory report in both ct scan and ultrasound then go for MRI. it will clear your doubts. and if needed go biopsy also.then take treatment accordingly. thanks for using health care magic.
