Can A Bug Bite Cause Vasculitis?
Can a bug bite cause vasculitis? I have had a rash on my leg for 5 months and initially thought it was a bug bite reaction and have been recently told that my Dr. suspects vasculitis and is referring me to a dermatoloigist for biopsy. I also have an elevated WBC of 14.1, elevated platelets of 642,000 & lymphadenopthy.

Bug bite should not cause localized vasculitis that you describe and it may in some cases cause systemic autoimune response but if there is occal skin rash then it may be something else and biopsy will show better results so that treatment can be planned.
