Can A Dermatologist Differentiate A Cancerous Spot From Fibrous Papule Without Biopsy?

recently had a spot removed that I thought could be cancer. Doctor removed it and said it was not cancerous but sent it out for a biopsy. Should I be concerned? Looking online it resembles Basal cell or Fibrous Papule. Can a derm tell the difference just by looking?
