Can A Small Moving Lump In Knee Cause Radiating Pain In The Whole Leg?

Ok, I am a 25 year old female. I am now considered morbidly obese. When I was about 14/15 I noticed a moveable lump over my left knee cap as well as a small little ball that I could move around. At the time there was very little pain. I went to the doctor they sent me for some therapy and I received a brace which the referred to ad a J-brace. I was over weight but not like now. I did therapy for about a month and that was the extent of any treatment. The lump and ball things never went away. Now for about the pass 3 weeks this knee has been killing me. The pain will radiate through my whole leg. It hurts to straighten it, stand on it, and walk on it. It also gives a lot. The pain really started out of nowhere and is showing no sign of going away. It actually has gotten worse over this week and I am now walking with a limp. Any ideas? I just moved to this area and have not got to switch doctors yet but I am working on it.

That swollen thing in your above knee is known as bursa.
Due to inflammation it has been swollen. And due to excessive pressure on it it hinders all your knee activity.
