Can A White Spot On The Thigh Be Vitiligo?
my daughter is 7 years old there is white spot on her back&thigh.is she is suffering from vitiligo.we have fix the appointment with doc tommorow.how we come to know that this disease is vitiligo.in my family no one is suffering from this disease. is biopsy is the first step to know yhis type of skin problem.pls reply

The commonest conditions causing hypopigmentation(white patch) at these sites include vitiligo, Halo nevi, Pityriasis versicolor and post inflammatory.
vitiligo is clinicaly diagnosed, woods lamp examination help in diagnosis - totllay white appearance is seen under woods lamp. biopsy is confermatory.
