I am a 57 year old female that just started to do AB Cruches on the Total Gym last week. I have notice this week that I am having muscle pain in my abdomen . I notice more of the discomfort when I am getting out of bed in the morning . Is this normal ?, since I have not worked my ab muscles for a long time? Thank you

Hello,

Welcome to HCM,

It is very normal to have muscle pain in the abdomen after doing crunches. The pain usually lasts for a week till the time your ab muscles get used to it and gradually it subsides.
Always start the crunches with minimum number such as do only 15-20 crunches on Day 1 and increase it by 5 everyday.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any doubts I would be happy to help you.
Thanks
