Can Accidental Jerking Of Head Lead To Headaches And Confusion?

about a week ago, I hit the back of my head on the corner of a wooden coat rack. I didn't fall, but jerked my head back really hard and rammed into it. it did not form a bump, but rather a dent that has remained sore, but does seem to be getting less sensitive. I have heard that it is good if it forms a bump, but not if it goes in. Not sure if I should be concerned. I have had a couple of bad headaches this week including one yesterday with a bit of confusion. Something I would normally do without even thinking about, I had to read directions two or three times to complete. I do sometimes get pretty bad headaches/migraines, so I'm not sure if this is something I should be worried about. We have also had a bit of sickness going through our house and the headache could be from congestion. I just thought it was a bump on the head...no big deal. Am I right to think this?

welcome to HCM!

I think that you need to have a meeting with a neurologist or at least with a GP. The headaches and ongoing confusion over littlle things since you had injury indicates some organic brain problem. I donot think that you should ignore it like this.

Getting an MRI brain will rule out any major problem. more so,when there is a formation of a dent in head.

Hope the reply is useful
