Taking Althea pills may make your endometrium thinner(too thin to generate bleeding), extended use of Althea can cause missed period when you have a seven-day break.
Sometimes, during the seven days break your periods may be very light & shorter than usual.
Do not forget to take the pill after the seven-day break. If you are not getting periods to visit a gynae, get physically examined.
It can be due to stress, anxiety or low hemoglobin levels in the blood.
You may have to go through blood tests or USG(uterus) if need be.
If you had unprotected sex your gynae may tell you to take a urine test for pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
