Can Antibiotics Effect Birth Control?

so i was taking singulair and it ended on friday... i had my period on thursday and friday and saturday because it was the end of my pill packet. i started my new pill packet on sunday and for some reason got some blood on monday but i don t think that it meant anything, it was just the end of my period. on tuesday, my boyfriend thinks he ejaculated a little in me and were concerned that my birth control isn t in full effect maybe becuase of the antibiotics (which evidently don t affect birth control) or because of the potential spotting i had on monday. thoughts?

Hi

Antibiotics such as Rifampicin and Rifampin used in the treatment of Tuberculosis are the drugs that can interfere with oral contraceptives and affect their efficacy.Other antibiotics can be safely used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
