Can Birth Control Pills Cause Heavy Bleeding In Menstruation?
I am on birth control pills, had week off them last week, had regular light period tues-fri. Then tuesday morning woke up to dark blood, as the day progressed the amount of blood increased and it has now turned to bright read. Heavier then my regular period. What could be cause?

Hi,
Single hormone pills (with Progesterone only) can cause such bleeding as side effect. If bleeding is very heavy, it is better to get examined and have needful treatment according to cause.
