Can Blood In Urine Be Related To An Infection Or An Accident?
Being released from ER after a dirtbike accident. ER said ribs are not broken and no internal injuries found,(X-Ray, MRI and Cat scan was done) although traces of blood were found in urine ... isn t this a sign of internal injuries? ER said blood in the urine may just be an infection. Should I be concerned about possible internal injuries and how would I know?
Blood in urine could be an infection but concluding on that after an accident is not a smart medical choice. I would certainly be concerned about a possible kidneyinjury and all the transporting organs(ureter, bladder, urethra). For now, monitor and should it persist, go back and ask about a possible kidney injury. If it subsides, then it was certainly minor and needs no medical attention right now. Very unlikely to have been caused by an infection, not after an accident!
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
