Can Bouts Of Diarrhea With Fat Level As 53 Be Related To Sarcoidosis?

First of all I have sarcoidosis. Not sure if the problem I am experiencing is related, but for the past 8 months I have bouts of uncontrolable diarrhea. I have had a colonoscopy which showed no problems. The last fecal test I had showed a problem with the fat, not sure of the specific numbers but my dr. said normally the levels are 200 and mine is 53 and that is a problem with something being metabolized in the pancreas. My mother died from liver and pancreas so I m not sure where to go or what is going on.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of your being suffering from sarcoidosis, have bouts of uncontrollable diarrhea for the past 8 months, colonoscopy is normal, fecal test shows problem with fat, the exact reports not posted, Mother died of live and pancreas problems.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get a fresh CT scan of the abdomen.
Repeat stool tests for 3 consecutive days as you have diarrhea for 8 months.
CT scan of the abdomen helps in further diagnosis.
A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole to be given. Continue probiotics, activated charcoal tablets for a longer time. Pancreatic enzyme supplements to be taken with food are worth taking and see the results.
Once the cause is found it becomes easy to get a proper diagnosis and proper treatment.
