Can 'cremaffin' Be Given To Treat Constipation?

Hello doctor,My father is 58 years old and was operated for a carcnoma in stomach last month.He is undergoing ceamotherepy now and has is suffering from constepation after the surgery.He is a known case of diabetics.Can we give cremaffin to him to treat conctipation now?
