Can Decaying Bone Spurs Cause Calcification Of Calf Muscles?
Can Decaying bone spurs result in calcification in calf muscles resulting in painful and ridgid and sometimes cold calves. In 1957 while studying to be an xray tech. I volunteered to be the guinie pig. Both my legs were xrayed. Bone spurs were found along all the long bones of both legs. Now I am having trouble with the calf muscles of both legs. They ache constantly and are ridgid most of the time . When ridgid they are cold to the touch, (only the calves). They go from bad to worse. Sometimes I can hardly walk. Often the pain is severe even at rest. My doctor can not understand it. I suggested checking on the bone spurs of the tibias and fibias of both legs, since I have arthritls diagnosed in my right foot and lumbar vertebrae. I was told it was a result of decaying bone spurs. However they could both be considered joints. Where does the calcium go along the long bones. Xrays were ordered and all the spurs were gone except a small remenent on the top of the left fibia, between the tibia and the fibia. Could I have calcified muscle?
