Can Deep Vein Thrombosis, occur With Painful Calf Muscles?
I have had a below the knee cast on for two weeks after fracturing my fibula. The last couple of days I have had a pain in my calf which I am managing by taking ibuprofen. It is not an unbearable pain, more of an ache and it doesn't stop me sleeping or anything. Should I be worried about dvt? The doctor at the hospital didn't seem overly concerned when I mentioned to him yesterday. He just said to keep my leg elevated when sitting and keep wiggling my toes, which I am doing. Your advice is appreciated. Thanks, Sarah
