white male - age 57 - 6'-4" 255lbs .... reasonably good health .. taking no meds .... watch blood pressure (120/80 but spikes easily to 140/85) and sugar (fasting 90 to 100) at home ... treadmill stress test, EKG and blood work last year was all normal except triglycerides were a little high and a few PVCs .... problem is that I continue to experince an uneasy sometimes breathtaking feeling in chest with occassional dry cough noticeable mostly when I am tired and sitting still..... suspect it is more related to anxiety than physical heart issues... cant seem to shake the feeling ...... would anxiety be the likely cause and would meds for anxiety help or not
I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. Anxiety disorders are known to produce weird symptoms which usually do not have any physical back up. You have already cleared by your doctor for any physical diseases and therefore you should stop being anxious.
Anxiety issues trigger gastric reflux which if triggered can push your diaphragm up. Such a pressure causes your chest cavity to constrict and usually pain / uneasiness / pressure manifest. Nothing to worry. Garlic, ginger pieces along with your meals should clear acidity symptoms and eventually anxiety.
I can help you in this aspect. Psychotherapy techniques should suit your requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible.
