Can Febrile Seizures Cause Body Jerks In Sleep?

My 2 year old daughter had febrile seizure a couple of weeks ago. Before I took her to the ER she had a rising fever and was jerking heavily in bed. Lately at night when she is sleep she seems restless and still jerks a little. Could this be normal sleeping habits for a 2 year old(now that I monitor her more often) or is this a result of the febrile seizure?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Seizure will occur during day time also. And we expect associated up rolling of eyes also in seizure, sometimes with frothing from mouth. Next time when she jerks, try to hold the limb- if it is aborted on holding, this is not seizure. Also, try to record a video of the incident and share.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
