Can Foraminal Stenosis Cause Numbness In Ear?

My FNP has stated that the numbness I am feeling in my left ear (some minimal numbness on left side of face near ear) was probably caused by my foraminal stenosis. It often feels like something the consistency of playdoh is trying to ooze out (nothing ever does come out however). Is it the stenosis?
