Can Headaches Be A Result Of Nitro Given Under The Tongue After Experiencing Chest Pain?
Hi, I was having chest pains Wednesday and my daughter called the ambulance and on the way the EMT gave my nitro under my tongue I believe they gave me 7 of them. Now I am experiencing bad headaches and nothing I take will ease it. Should I be concerned and what can I do to get rid of it? I read that the side effects of taking them is headaches
You have said that you have been given about 7 tablets of nitro in ambulance to abort the attack. I can say from my clinical experince that it is a high possibility that the headache is due to them. it is quiet a common presentation, so, I don't think that you need to worry a lot.
there can be other reasons for headache, like blood pressure or something organic. you can rule them out by checking your BP and as you have not mentioned that there any movement or visual problem, I don't see any organic condition behind it.
so, if it is bothering you a lot, please check the BP. I have seen that such headache respond to naproxen sodium and domperidone combination.
