Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Amlong A tab: amlodipine 5 mg, atenolol 25 mg. Amlodipine can cause ankle /lower leg swelling as side effect. Severe anemia can contribute to lower leg edema by hypoproteinaemia. Black patches is due to venous stasis (may be due to in addition venous incompetence, you are having) in the lower limb, not uncommon in women leading to subcutaneous minor blood accumulation. You are advised to stop amlodipine and switch over to some other anti-hypertensive e.g ACEI ( angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor) or ARB(Angiotensin receptor blocker) and diuretic ( e.g. hydrochlorthiazide preparation). Keep your legs elevated on pillow while in bed.
