I am a diabetic, but I have never had hot and cold flashes before. What can I do, I have spoken with my dr, but she had no idea what could cause this. age 57, weight 217, menopause about 4 or 5 years ago, I had hot flashes then but only lasted about 1year, My sugar levels are now between 56 and 123, just got it down in the last few weeks, usually it would be over 200, but I felt good then
Dear Madam, Please check your thyroid levels. DO a free T3, free T4 and TSH. Its a very common combination we get to see. Diabetes with Thyroid fluctuations leading to hot flushes. I also have to mention that in post menopause phase the hot flushes can continue for a longer time. We will rule out thyroid first and proceed with your line of treatment.. Wishing you the best!
