Can Hyperacidity Be Caused By Thyroid Glossal Cyst?
Hi, I am 30 years old and i was diagnosed with thyroid glossal cyst 13-14 years back. It got infected 18-19 times. I consulted many surgeons and all have different opinion. Few say let it be like this will not cause any harm and there will be recurrence. Some say surgery is complex. and few say it is simple. I am also having hyperacidity which is unbearable sometimes. Is this also because of cyst. Please guide me what to do.
I think with repeated infections, it should be operated out. Simple/complex depends on surgeon's expertise. I feel it a simple job. Check your thyroid function. If it is normal, hyperactivity is not related to thyroid cyst.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
