Can I Continue To Take Iron Tablets For A Long Term In Order To Have A Bright Face?
I have a skin condition I suffer with acne and as a result of using too many products. My face has become very dull looking my skin has turned darker in shade and I have a lot of pigmentation. I have Literally tried everything an recently I notice taking iron tablets makes my face look a little bright but I don't know if I can continue taking them long term?
For your first problem, pigmentation due to acne, I would advise you to do following things: 1 apply a generous amount of sunscreen three times in day 2 Start using a depigmenting cream containing hydroquinone, tretinoin in night time 3 ask your dermatologist for chemical peel like glycolic acid or retinoid peels. They really help in decreasing your pigmentation to a lot of extent
for your second query, get your hemoglobin and iron levels checked, you might be having anemia causing hair loss, pale skin , itchy skin etc. however, intake of 50-75 mg of iron is considered to be safe. But get your levels checked so that if they are low, you can start proper dose and if they are normal, you need no supplementation.
