Hi, I am 63 years old and in March this year had surgery to repair a prolapsed mitral valve. The surgery was very succcessful, but a couple of months later I was diagnosed with pneumonia. Shortly after that I had fluid on my left lung and repeated bouts of pleurisy. Whilst the fluid on the lung is now resolved, I am still getting pleurisy. I am booked to fly from Australia to the UK on 25 November. Will it be safe to travel?
Ya definately you can travel. As you are saying your fluid is resolving and mitral valve surgery is also very successful its bo harm to travel by flight.
