Can Insomnia And Restlessness Occur Because Of Low Blood Sugar Level?
I was recently given a blood test for thyroid disorders, I get the results today, what should I be looking for? My grandmother had her thyroid removed and had to take medication her entire life, so a family history exists! My adams apple appears to be large and slightly off center, I have been having what appear to be spells of low blood sugar, goes away with a spoon or two of honey, crying spells, easily confused, also a whooshing sound in my left ear, but only when laying down and coughing. also a history of sebaceous cysts, insomnia, anxiety issues, restlessness, I have always been a little on the underweight side and I am having trouble keeping the weight on..almost 3000 calories a day. I am 5'11" and only 132 lbs, I have never been over 140 and used to hover between 125 and 130lbs.
I have studied your case and it appears that your a little anxious about your disease, which is quite understandable. First, low sugar can be either because of poor intake or high metabolic rate. As you your self has mentioned that it is cured when you take honey, so not to be worried about. Just check if your T3 and T4 are on higher side or TSH a little low. It loos like you are having hyperthyroidism, your test will guide us. This may be the reason you are not putting weight despite good calori intake and feeling a little restless.
