Can Intercourse Affect Blood Sugar, Cholesterol Tests?
Are blood sugar, cholesterol and whatever else is measured in a physical's blood test accurate after intercourse? Fasted all night, had blood draw scheduled for this morning they said I could come in anytime as long as I haven't eaten or drank anything w/in 12 hrs. Can i still go or do I have to reschedule?(52 yr old male in very good health, except for a slight winter cold)

Dr.boskey gandhi is here. yes, u get correct information that u can do fasting report with 12hrs fasting stage, at any time, 2nd thing is intercourse doesn't affect sugar &cholesterol report values, but abnormal sugar &cholesterol report affect intercourse process, so u can do your test after sexual activity without any fear. good luck! !!!
