Can Irregular Menstrual Cycle Be Stress Related?

I have been having an irregular menstrual cycle
I have been having my period for the past 2 months, on and off, in intervals. It started with every alternate week and now for the past two weeks there's been more or less daily bleeding. Prior to the past 2 months I did not get my period for 3 months, prior to which I did get it for 2 months and prior to which I did not get it for 3 months.

I would like to know why my menstrual cycle is acting funny. Further, is this normal or stress related?

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
Irregular menses can be due following common causes:
Thyroid problems,
raised prolactin,
PCOD,
Some medications like antipsychotics and antiepileptics.

Please get evaluated by your gynecologist for these causes.

Stress can contribute to irregular menses but finding the primary cause is important.

Practice relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation to keep you mind relaxed.

Hope this helps.
Thanks
