Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
Please understand. These are two very different systems.
The system of
lipid profile is related to the consumption of food and the energy output. The extra calories you take are converted to fats. This is probably a mechanism of the body since the ice ages to preserve energy. The
cholesterol and other
lipids are formed from the fats in the diet.
On the other hand, the bile system, dysfunction of which causes jaundice is originating from the
gall bladder. The gall bladder produces the juices that help break up the ingested fats. When this bile is produced excessively or when it is not excreted completely, jaundice results.
The overlap may occur if a lipid based gall stone obstructs the bile pathway causing
obstructive jaundice.
I hope your lipid profile and sugars are well controlled
