Can Lipitor Cause Oily Loose Stools, Forearm Pain And My Diverticulitis Relapse?
Years ago (in my late 20 s and early 30 s) I was diagnosed with diverticulitis. Over the years, I ve watched my diet and am in fairly good health, the only other condition I have is HBP which has been well controlled for years. I am now 62 and 2 months ago my doctor put me on Lipitor 20 mg for high cholesterol which was never high until I started HBP medicines. I have recently developed, oily loose stools, forearm pain and my diverticulitis has come back after being absent for many years. Nausea and vomiting seem to be constant companions. Could the Lipitor be the cause?
HI. Yes, lipitor can cause all the problems you have mentioned due to direct and indirect effects. It is better to stop immediately and seek a medical help as the attending problems at the moment are more serious. Cholestrol can be reduced by diet and exercises also.
