Can Malaria Or Flu Cause Headache And Fever?
hello sir,my brother has fever and headache for the past 2 weeks, we have done all tests including CT scan ..there is no inflammation in brain or any such disease ..but he has headache and when it increases it leads to fever ..could it be malaria or flu ?

The causes of headache withe fever are mainly infectious.CT brain can rule out serious infections of brain like meningitis or abscesses but for encephalitis one needs MRI or PCR of Cerbrospinal fluid. Having said that the condition is caused mostly by benign infections like malaria, flu, sinusitis, or any other febrile viral illness.
