Can Pain In Calf Be Related To Trapped Nerve Operation Or Valve Replacement?
I am on warfrin as I had an aorta valve replacement 7 yrs ago a week ago I started having sharp pains on my outer right calf it lasts for a few minutes then disappears . Further to this I had a back operation 6 years ago for a trapped nerve could the pain be related to the nerve?
As due to valve replacement this symptoms are very uncommon and cannot be considered as one them.
If the pain is tingling, numbing, burning, radiating etc than this could be related to the nerve entrapment in the lumbar spinal column. Due to ageing and degenerative changes, these pains are common.
I will advise to do McKenzie maneuver and see if the pain is reduced while performing the one. The McKenzie maneuver can be found online. If the McKenzie maneuver is positive then it can be a nerve entrapment.
Exercise will be guided accordingly for strengthening the core muscles, spinal muscle, static hamstring, static quadriceps and ankle toe movements.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
